The Role With a commercial focus, take ownership for the products within your categories in terms of ranging, availability, quality, cost prices and margins. Ensure new products are brought to market and seasons are extended by the introduction of new ranges which support the Company goal of inspiring customers, whilst driving key opportunities for complementary products to be ranged. Support the product marketing assistants and product controllers to ensure that the features and benefits of products are clear and are both accurate and informative, retail prices are competitive and forecasts and stock control is well managed throughout the year.
• Horticulturally trained or significant experience of working with your relevant product ranges with a flare and passion for gardening
• Commercially aware, able to understand and influence the wider implications of proposed actions, how to achieve he best return on investment for your time as well as the ability to act quickly
• Strong negotiator to drive purchase prices and product quality
• Experience of bringing new products to market and working with appropriate product ranges including understanding the growing seasons and its impact on products and customer success.
