Poised for further major growth, our client is transforming fresh sector production and marketing in a select range of fresh product lines in Australia and surrounding country areas. They grow, pack and market a variety of salad, meal kits/bowls , value-added vegetables, prepared deli salads and other associated products. All of their product ranges share the common element of top quality produce, fresh from the farm. And with the key commercial relationships they have with their customers, they understand what is core to their business – driving exceptional quality and production standards and strategic marketing plans, as well as new product development to remain highly innovate and invaluable to all of their consumers in an ever growing market sector.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer will work closely with the senior leadership team – including Marketing, Technical and Operations plus external stakeholders – being key retail personnel and various high level suppliers, to ensure the highest quality of product is “created” in perfect environmental and sustainable conditions.
The Chief Operating Officer will promote exceptional best practice within the whole business and complement these practices with leading senior level organisational skills. The primary purpose of the newly created role is to drive and support current and future business growth by being fully accountable for the manufacturing operation end to end. This specifically requires continual development of the operations and supply chain teams, processes and ways of working to adapt to ongoing positive change; enabling the broader business to achieve the strategic growth plans for the organisation.
The successful candidate will possess an exceptional track record of leadership within the FMCG or/and associated sectors and ideally in an senior level operational aspect. You will have a demonstrated appreciation for the supplier/retail relationship and be able to run a multidisciplinary team within the context of FMCG. You will have a full remit of high level operational understanding on a growing/food manufacturing/operational perspective and be strategically upper quartile in long-term business planning. In addition you will have a management style that is highly consensus-oriented, balanced, communicative, transparent, empathetic, and approachable.
