We have a fantastic job for a Hygiene Manager to join our industry-leading bakery client site in Northants. This is a key role for the site and you will report to the Head of Technical. You will manage a team of hygiene colleagues and will develop and maintain hygiene systems within the site to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
This job will require you to work late shifts, details of which to be confirmed.
Requirements of the Job
In this job as Hygiene Manager you will manage a team of Hygiene Operatives, as a strong people developer and performance manager through a coaching leadership style. You’ll oversee the establishment of hygienic working practices across all departments as well as managing pest control and driving improvements in housekeeping across the site. You will manage the department paperwork in relations to cleaning schedules and also the labour costs for the department to accurately allocate the teams duties. You’ll be a proactive manager ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards comply with BRC and retail specific food safety standards.
You will have strong people management and leadership skills and have a proven track record of managing and engaging a team as well as an understanding and experience of working in a high risk environment. You’ll also need an understanding of cost models and experience of budgetary control and understand pest control management.
Ideally you will have an intermediate food safety qualification and have some training on HACCP along with COSHH and BRC knowledge.
