Our client is an overseas based concern. They currently represent a select number of international growers and bring their products into defined markets such as the UK, Asia and mainland Europe. Due to ongoing growth in the UK, they wish to leverage the quality of their product offering and contact base by sourcing an individual who fully understands the UK Wholesale and Foodservice sectors to drive their double digit growth even further forward.
As Managing Director, your main concern is to establish the products being sold to your extensive fresh produce contact base so they look to buy more and more of the collective range/lines from you and the business. All of the admin and finance is handled centrally so you can concentrate on what you are best at; establishing relationships and presenting some of the best fresh produce seen globally to the UK’s Wholesale sectors.
Reporting to the overseas Board, the Managing Director will work closely with the international leadership team with the expressed aim of providing more high quality sales. As you would expect the Managing Director will promote exceptional best practice within the whole business and complement these practices with leading senior level organisational skills.
To be regarded as a successful candidate, you will possess an exceptional track record of procurement/purchasing/selling in the Fresh Produce wholesale/foodservice sectors. If you had fluency in other EU languages that would be deemed as advantageous. And it goes without saying that you will also be an excellent negotiator and have a very high degree of numeracy.
