Our client is the UK’s 2nd largest fresh food manufacturer. We’ve got a fantastic job for a Shift Manager – Technical. The site has 20 high speed high risk slicing lines on a standard week producing over 2.5 million packs of sliced cooked meats. The site operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week employing 1,100 staff.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management and guidance of the technical team across all departments.
Requirements for the Role
As a Shift Manager – Technical, you will deliver food safety, legality, quality and integrity for all our customers and brands along with ensuring that all designated procedures and practices comply to legal, BRC and MMS requirements. You’ll be responsible for checking CCP‘s across departments and ensuring trained competent colleagues are controlling these. You’ll be a strong people developer and performance manager through a coaching and leadership style and you’ll have an ability to be able to lead change through a continuous improvement approach as well as being able to support and advise colleagues on technical issues. The job is working 40 hours per week on a 5 over 7 shift working both twilights and weekends on a rotating shift.
