We are looking for 2 x Technical Department Managers to work on a Night Shift rota for our client who is one of the largest blue-chip food manufacturers in the UK with multiple sites supplying a wide range of food products, meat, fish, bakery, fresh and prepared-produce, dried fruit and nuts.
This role would suit someone who is currently a Quality Manager\Technologist, looking for their next step, or alternatively already a Technical Manager working for a smaller company.
You will support the Technical Manager by managing Food Safety across the site to ensure the safety, legality and integrity, but to also ensure protection of customers from unsafe food. You’ll provide Food Safety expertise, advise and support across the site, including carrying out food safety audits and working with the site Teams to implement action plans and drive continuous improvement in the food safety culture.
You will be required to build strong relationships with site Technical and Management teams to ensure the safety, legality and integrity of products are at the forefront. Influence internal stakeholders at all levels of the business and routinely engage with external stakeholders.
Requirements of the role:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of food manufacturing processes and the required food safety controls to ensure our sites produce safe products for our customers
- Knowledge and understanding of food safety legislation and its requirements to ensure full compliance
- Food Safety Level 3
- Recognised HACCP Qualification to at least Level 3
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
