They are the leading food and farm assurance scheme in the UK. The scheme known as Red Tractor sets standards that UK farms and food businesses comply with. Their standards are used throughout the food industry to ensure that the food we eat is safe, traceable and farmed with care. The Red Tractor logo is a consumer facing brand recognised by over 69% of primary shoppers and today the logo can be found on over £13bn worth of British food & drink products in both retail and out of home sectors. For a business to supply Red Tractor assured food or use the Red Tractor logo, it must have been produced to our standards and they must be licensed to them.
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Trade Marketing Executive based at their central London office. In this role you will play a vital role supporting the Trade & Commercial Manager to deliver the business retention and development elements of the trade strategy. Predominantly you will be out in the field developing good quality relationships with existing licencees, and identifying & meeting with new prospects. To be noted, a critical part of the trade and commercial strategy is to build awareness and use of the logo through the licence base, aside from your key tasks of retention, development and new business, creating and executing marketing plans that deliver this objective will be the primary goal.
Who are we looking for….
In this sales focussed role the ideal candidate will need at least 3-5 years’ experience of FMCG account management gained within the grocery or foodservice sector. You will be an effective time manager, need 1st rate communication skills, be very articulate and able to work independently. You will need to be highly self-motivated, equally happy working on your own visiting accounts as with your colleagues and team members in the office. Possessing the resilience day after to develop & maintain your business pipeline is critical, as is maintaining the determination to succeed despite any obstacles in your way.
Working within brand guidelines and using existing brand assets you should be accustomed to writing & presenting your own pitch documents that appeal to your licencee, you will need a creative, entrepreneurial approach to selling as our licencees vary in scope and scale. The ability to think creatively and communicate your ideas during presentations which meet licencee objectives is key. Success is the participation of the licencee in your plan so you need to have the ability to engage, create and deliver plans that are effective.
