We are developing an international network of experienced fresh produce professionals with genuine, on-the-ground knowledge of some of the world’s most important production and supply markets.
We started with Morocco. The response was excellent. We subsequently expanded into Egypt and are now actively developing our Country Expert network across Turkey, South Africa, Kenya, Peru and India – with further key fresh produce markets to follow. And the response is demonstrating that there is a real appetite on both sides.
So, what are we creating?
There are businesses across the UK and Europe looking at new countries, suppliers, production regions and commercial opportunities. But entering or sourcing from another country without genuine local knowledge can be difficult. Who are the right growers and exporters? Which packhouses genuinely deliver? What crops and varieties work? What are the realities around production, quality, seasonality, pricing and logistics? And, crucially, who should you actually be talking to?
That’s where local expertise becomes incredibly valuable.
Redfox is identifying credible Country Experts across commercial, export, growing, agronomy, procurement, sourcing, technical, supply chain, operations and market development who can provide that knowledge directly. These aren’t necessarily people looking for another full-time job. They could be consultants, senior industry figures, established fresh produce professionals or highly connected individuals interested in selective advisory and collaborative opportunities.
What matters is their knowledge, credibility, contacts and genuine experience on the ground.
And we’re certainly not looking to parachute into these countries pretending we know more about their fresh produce industries than the people working within them.
We want to collaborate with the people who do.
