Redfox has been exclusively commissioned by a market leading fresh produce business with a significant EU reach.
The business has recently partnered with an international agribusiness investment group, to help further professionalise the company and to assist to rapidly consolidate the fragmented industry it operates in with the clear aim to become the market leader in its field within Europe.
As part of their strategic planning, they wish to source an exceptional individual to join them as their Chief Executive Officer who will be key in creating the business success that they all aspire to.
The Chief Executive Officer will be viewed as the key individual that will have a crucial role to play not only in controlling the strategic management of the expanding business but also in crafting financially sound business plans on which further long-term investment and expansion decisions are based.
The Role Opportunity:
- Commercial and strategic business development of the associated Fresh Produce product lines/services the business offer to leading customers on an initial EU basis before commencing international expansion.
- To major on the international sourcing and supply chain strategy elements to implement the best possible profitable efficiencies.
- Management of the finances of the Business in cooperation with the investment team.
- To work with other members of the executive team to identify, implement and review strategic initiatives for growth and assist in the overall leadership of the business.
- To build on a unique culture that attracts growers, customers and key colleagues to the business ongoing.
The Qualities We Want to See:
- An outstanding result driven experienced Commercial and strategic “leader” with an accomplished and proven ability.
- A background in the International Fresh Food sectors at a senior level.
- Ideally experience of the full vertical integration from farm production through to retail shelf.
- Ideally experience of selling to and implementing programmes for major global food retail chains.
- Excellent educational background with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A natural self-motivator with exceptional interpersonal abilities and first-rate planning/organising skills.
- A “Statesman” with exceptional influencing abilities.
- A range of EU language skills would be advantageous
