As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in their pursuit of becoming a world-renowned fruit supplier that not only delights customers but also promotes ethical practices and environmental sustainability. Working closely with the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, driving business growth, and maintaining strong relationships with their key customers.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, preferences, and challenges to provide tailored solutions.
- Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with the businesses cross-functional teams to accurately forecast customer demand and ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.
- Business Growth: Assist the Commercial Director in identifying growth opportunities, exploring new markets, and expanding further their customer base.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding their expectations, addressing any concerns, and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to make informed decisions and adapt strategies.
- Sales Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of effective sales strategies that align with their vision of promoting healthy living and customer delight.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the internal teams, including production, supply chain, and marketing, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of customer solutions.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports and insights to the Commercial Director on sales performance, customer feedback, and market dynamics.
What We Want to See From You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing preferred but not essential • Proven experience in commercial management or sales within the food or agriculture industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong rapport with clients and internal teams.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and customer data, driving informed decision-making.
- Proven track record in a commercial role is essential with experience of UK High Street Retailers – preferably within the Fresh Produce Sector or/and FMCG • European languages useful but not essential • Ability to travel is essential • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Passion for ethical practices, sustainability, and a commitment to promoting healthy living through quality products.
- Proficiency in sales software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
