Our client is the UK’s leading Vertical Farming business, growing a range of crops for leading retailers.
They are expanding rapidly and so is the need for assistance in Maintaining, Designing, Commissioning, and expanding the automation on their sites. The successful applicant will join the software group as they continue to develop processes and systems and will assist the head of control software in maintaining these.
Due to the fast evolution of the business they are looking for someone who can adapt to the current situation and deliver safe, effective and well communicated work packages with another eye on the future and how to migrate to better solutions.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to Document, write, fault find and commission software in all of the IEC 61131-3 languages
• Working with the maintenance department to remove, track and reduce faults in the current systems
• Proactively work with the rest of the design group in managing the delivery of select projects on their own while drawing from the experience of other
• Produce high quality documentation of current systems as well as commissioning packs and test documentation.
• Deliver training to other staff on a formal or ad-hoc basis where required
REQUIREMENTS
• Rockwell, Siemens or Schneider PLC programming/commissioning – High degree of competence in at least one
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Ability to write in other textual languages
• MS SQL experience
• Functional safety experience
• Electrical experience
• Instrumentation experience
Location : Rochdale or Norwich. Travel between locations will be required.
