The Role:
As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, spearheading new business development both in the UK & internationally, and providing overall strategic management to the flower business. This role will require you to blend your business acumen, leadership skills, and passion for the floral sectors to lead their team to continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and commercial Leadership: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to boost revenue and achieve sales targets. Motivate and lead the sales team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders both in the UK and Internationally.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with the management team to develop and execute business plans that align with our company’s vision and goals. Continuously assess market trends and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement.
- Team Management: Oversee and inspire a talented team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Provide coaching and mentorship to nurture individual growth and optimise team performance.
- Financial Management: Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Make data-driven decisions to enhance profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the business, optimising processes and implementing best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in commercial sales, new business development, and general management, preferably in the floral or related industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a keen eye for identifying market trends and opportunities.
- Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Creativity and a genuine passion for the flower sectors.
