Key Responsibilities of the Role:
As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their fruit business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee and optimise the supply chain process, from fruit arrival, storage and dispatch and all elements around that all.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a diverse team of supervisors, technicians, and workers, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring productivity, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to uphold the highest standards of freshness, taste, and appearance for the fruit.
- Logistics and Inventory Management: Coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, storage, and inventory management, to ensure efficient movement of fruit and minimise waste.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance operational processes to streamline efficiency, reduce costs, and maximise productivity, while adhering to industry regulations and safety standards.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, growers, and other stakeholders to secure the best quality fruit and ensure smooth collaboration throughout the value chain.

- Proven experience as an operations manager in the fresh produce industry, with specific exposure to fruit and tropical fruit.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong attention to detail.
