Reporting to the owner, your main role will require you to oversee the packhouse, planning and distribution function of the business as well as leading and inspiring the team. Capturing data and working on KPI’s to improve the efficiencies of waste and labour management within the business as well as dealing with budgetary expenditure will also need to be your forte. Communication skills with be vital in this role as you will be required to liaise with trading, distribution, agency, finance and sales teams all across the board.
The ideal candidate will need to have previous experience working in an operation managerial role. This will be a challenging and hands-on position; drawing on a range of skills therefore you will need to have demonstrated effective man-management experience in a fast-moving production environment.
The successful applicant will not only be a natural people manager and a confident leader but a great communicator with the will to drive and develop the operations team. You must also be an innovative thinker, making key decisions with a strategic focus, as well as having excellent financial and commercial awareness.
