Redfox has been retained to identify an outstanding Packhouse Operations Manager for a significant fresh produce operation in Portugal.
And this one is all about delivery.
We’re looking for a genuinely hands-on operational leader who understands what makes a high-performing packhouse tick — people, equipment, productivity, efficiency and discipline.
You’ll lead a substantial operational team and take responsibility for driving performance across the packhouse floor.
This is not a desk-based management role.
We want someone who is comfortable being highly visible within the operation, understands production metrics and packing technology, can identify where performance is being lost and, importantly, knows how to do something about it.
You could currently be operating within:
- Fresh Produce
- Food Manufacturing
- Food Processing
- FMCG
- Horticulture
- Packing / Packaging Operations
- Other high-volume, fast-moving production environments
What matters is that you understand people AND production.
You’ll need to be able to:
- Lead, motivate and develop a sizeable operational workforce
- Drive productivity, efficiency and output
- Maximise the performance of people and equipment
- Understand and use production metrics
- Bring discipline and consistency to daily operations
- Drive continuous improvement on the factory floor
- Build credibility with frontline teams
- Hold people accountable whilst bringing them with you
- Perform in a demanding, fast-moving environment
Above all, we’re looking for someone who leads from the front.
Someone firm but fair.
Someone who can walk onto a busy packhouse floor, understand what is happening, earn the respect of the team and start improving performance.
The role is based in Portugal, so candidates must either already be based there or be genuinely open to relocation.
