Our client is a major producer of prepared fruit products for premium UK retailers. Their success and business acumen has made them a highly respected supplier and employer within their sector and they now seek an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Manager to join their team.
In this role you will take full responsibility for all technical areas relating to product safety, legality and quality and proactively manage relationships accordingly with customers. You will consider all options to raise standards and give a point of difference. You will also need to help the quality team successfully manage day to day product quality.
The ideal candidate will be able to confidently represent the organisation with UK retail customers. Excellent inter-personnel, IT and communication skills are essential.
An aptitude for dealing with people of different nationalities and cultures in an assertive, confident and natural manner is also desirable.
As the role will involve some travelling the ability to work using their own initiative and problem solve rationally is also desirable.
Experience in the fresh produce sector is essential – preferably within fruit or food manufacturing.
