Technical Manager – Customer Facing

Our client is a hugely successful Prepared Fresh Fruit processing & packing operation, supplying the UK’s top-tier supermarkets with imported and home grown fruit. Due to continued success there is now a vacancy for a customer-facing Technical Manager.
In this role you will take full responsibility for all technical areas relating to product safety, legality and quality and proactively manage relationships accordingly with customers. You will consider all options to raise standards and give a point of difference. You will also need to help the quality team successfully manage day to day product quality. Extensive experience of managing BRC, HACCP and PPU’s are a pre-requisite. A working knowledge of on-line systems such as Sedex and Greenlight would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be able to represent the organisation in the UK and as necessary overseas, liaising with suppliers, fellow employees and customers.
Excellent inter-personnel, IT and communication skills are essential.
An aptitude for dealing with people of different nationalities and cultures in an assertive, confident and natural manner is also desirable.
Experience in fresh produce or fresh food manufacturing is essential
